Week of 5/17

Well, class: THIS IS IT! The final week of 6th grade. While it's definitely nothing close to what we pictured, I can tell you with certainty that the year (and all of YOU) have made a large impact on me. Thank you for sticking with it and I hope to see you at the 6th grade parade drive this week!

Classwork pieces for the week:

- Our Social Studies class will complete the "Reform in Industrial America" unit with lessons 4-7.

- Reading will finish "The Westing Game" this week. No assignments to allow for completion of the book itself.

- Math will take a Unit 7 assessment in Google Forms over what we've covered.

- Language will leave Study Island open until the end of classes. If the students are behind, now's the time to catch up! If you've kept up, no new ribbons will be asked for this week!

- All Things E.Q. is continually providing our Ambassadors with some phenomenal material to work through if you’re able.

Make sure to check in on my website throughout for all the links and info you’ll need:

Answers to FAQs:

- I’m presenting the material to allow for your own planning and pacing through the week. Students can expect new material on Mondays that will be submittable through the end of that week unless otherwise marked.

- Completed work must be submitted through Google Classroom. This is the way our system will be marking these pieces as “turned in”.

(Decided I'll leave this because I meant it when I first wrote it and I continue to mean it each week after!)

You’re all doing a FANTASTIC job so far - please stick with it and keep rolling! I’m incredibly proud of all of you (parents, too, of course)! I’m missing the heck out of our class. Teaching is what I love doing most and this class, as we’ve told you, is a special one. Missing that large part of my day with my students is like missing a large part of myself! :’( I continue to hope that you and yours are staying healthy and happy during this time and I wish you the very best from the entire Matheson family!
